Kat you have done it again! How beautiful is that image?? B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L. I love, love the green plate and the perfect little swirl on top with the addition of the PB cup. Oh how I'd love to dig into that one.
My only uber picky critique, would be the placement of the cupcake.....it's a weeee bit off center, so their is a little more room camera left on the plate, that throws my eye a bit.....but like I said that's being uber picky. :)

Love the light here and the icing folds just fall on each other in such a wonderful way :) Hope you stay safe with the approaching hurricane!

Thanks girls! Tammy, I've been contemplating the cupcake placement dilemma as well. I initially had a different idea for my post but I pretty much hated all those images, this was a last minute, just in case. Teaches me to pay attention to every detail even on the back up plan. I really appreciate the feedback.

Oh just so you all know...I'm totally inland and no where near Isaac, that reference was in regards to Stacey. :) No hurricane for me.

Oooops, I guess my comment didn't post! Stunning image Kat! Ooooh I do love teal with a rich dark background that is so reminiscent of the cupcake. I love the gorgeous simplicity of this. All is well here in FL - we were caught in a dry zone of Isaac so it was kind of a bust around here and a bummer to spend time "getting ready." But the bottom line is to be safe, so that's a good thing! :)

I agree with Stacey.. love the chocolate brown with turquoise! This cupcake is so pretty and yummy looking. Your photo and lighting look perfect to me. Can't believe a 13 year old did this! She needs to create a tutorial so you can share it with us. :) Hugs Kat!!

Wow... just wow!!! This shot simply jumped off the screen. I love the clarity, light and colors. I know you mentioned somewhere that you didn't like your background, however, I really do. I've been trying to figure out some sort of dark background, but haven't come up with anything yet.
Your lighting is positively perfect, and my daughter says she wants a dozen of these beauties for her birthday, or simply any day would be fine!.
As for the placement, I have to admit I noticed it wasn't centered right away, but the more I look at it, the more I like it. My daughter says she never noticed it wasn't centered because her eye was on that top pb cup. She says this is one of the most "real" shots she has ever seen. I think you have a new fan...!

Jen I would love to claim the baker, but she's my neighbor and I committed the big sin by calling her 13 when she's 14. She really is amazing though. I did find out she uses the LARGE Star Decorating tip!
